The Mobile Makerspace is a van that offers equipment and materials that replicate the existing makerspace at our branches in a mobile fashion. From musical instruments and audio recording equipment to a blender and microwave to portable lathes, the Mobile Makerspace has a variety to offer! In 2020, the Mobile Makerspace was fully funded via a Library Services and Technology Act grant, and it initially offered programs at Crews Lake Park for kids in grades 3-5 living in the 34610 zip code.

Now that the grant period is over, the Mobile Makerspace can travel anywhere in Pasco County and host programs for people of all ages! We welcome requests to take the Mobile Makerspace to parks, events, schools, and other areas! It does best with pre-planned activities, so if you'd like it to come to your event, let us know what you're interested in doing, from painting to gardening, and we can accommodate you.
