Note. November's Class is a continuation of the October class. To sign up for November, you must also be signed up for the October class. Join Earthchild Sarah every week as she teaches the basics of painting
and drawing.
In October, we will create visual journals from vintage books. Journaling has been shown to improve mental and emotional wellbeing. It can also be a great tool for developing creativity and refining ideas. Students will have the option to share their work or keep it private. All materials will be provided but students are welcome to bring their own book if they prefer. This is a great opportunity to explore mixed media to create a collection of many low risk artworks and really refine your style and find your artistic voice. This is not a follow the leader or paint by numbers art class! Complete beginners to intermediate artists can come get expert guidance from someone who has been in the arts for nearly four decades. Learn how to improve your technique in watercolor, acrylics and pastels. We also cover the fundamentals of drawing such as composition, color, proportions, shading, texture etc. You can work on the suggested projects and exercises or bring in your art for advice and guidance on how to improve. Questions are welcome, community is encouraged. Materials are provided. If you register and are unable to make it, please notify the library at least 48 hours in advance to be considerate of those on the wait list.
