Mission Possible: Water for Tomorrow | On display at the New River Library

Each piece in this display was created by a Pasco County student as part of the 16th annual Water Awareness Poster Contest. The contest is a water conservation initiative led by Pasco County Utilities and the Florida Governmental Utility Authority (FGUA), with support from the District School Board of Pasco County.
The 2025 contest embraced the theme Mission Possible: Water for Tomorrow, inspiring 1,111 entries from 14 schools, 42 teachers, and one home schooler. Since 2010, nearly 22,500 students have explored the importance of water conservation through STEAM-focused program materials, then transformed their knowledge into powerful visual messages. Their artwork reflects the creativity, care, and commitment of our young environmental stewards. Let their voices remind us: protecting our water is a mission we all share.

See, Think, Feel | On display at the New River Library

Have you ever noticed how a “wet paint” sign almost beckons you to reach out and touch the surface? My work invites that same irresistible pull. Through layered textures, bold acrylics, and abstract compositions, I create pieces that draw viewers in—visually and emotionally.

Each painting is intentionally one of a kind. The textures are built slowly and intuitively, allowing spontaneity to emerge. In psychology, my work is informed by a deep curiosity about human experience—the visible and invisible patterns that shape us. In both art and life, I am drawn to what lies beneath the surface. As such, I have learned to embrace imperfection—not as a flaw, but as an essential element of beauty. Nature itself is irregular, layered, and beautifully unpredictable, and my work reflects that truth.

For me, the deepest joy lies in the creative process: the physicality of paint, the quiet observation, and the anticipation of the final reveal. The finished piece becomes more than an image; it is, indeed, a work of art.

South Holiday Branch Library

Artist: Camille Harris

On display at the South Holiday Library

Camille Harris is a photography enthusiast based in Pasco County, FL, whose art sparks curiosity and opens space for wonder. Camille fell in love with photography at the age of eight after receiving a Kodak Brownie Camera as a birthday gift. She transforms everyday subjects into striking, imaginative images, exploring the tension between nature and industry, decay and renewal, reality and dream. Whether capturing a weathered building, a surreal still life, or a bloom breaking through concrete, she invites audiences to see familiar things in unfamiliar ways. With a playful yet bold approach, she is guided more by instinct than rules; she captures moments and subjects that feel out of place, out of time, or simply out of ordinary sight.

Starkey Ranch Theatre Library Cultural Center

Artist: Ping Hu

On display at the Starkey Ranch TLC

Ping Hu began her artistic journey nine years ago, first exploring acrylic painting under the guidance of her mentor, Mr. Vann. In time, she found herself drawn to the quiet depth and elegance of Chinese brush painting.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into that evolving journey—where discipline meets spontaneity, and tradition meets personal expression. By profession, she is a physician; by heart, an artist. Painting remains her refuge, her rhythm, and her joy.
