Pasco County Libraries will be CLOSED at 12 PM on Tuesday, December 24 and all day on Wednesday, December 25 in Observance of Christmas. The library will reopen at its regular hours Thursday, December 26.
The Hudson Regional Library remains closed until further notice to assist with hurricane recovery efforts.

Position Overview and Impact:

All library branches have Chapters for their respective Friends of the Pasco County Library System Friends Organization. This extremely important organization helps the library by funding public programs, staff workshops and other educational seminars and by advocating on behalf of the library in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend Friends meetings and activities
  • Participate in organizing, setting up, running, and cleaning up branch book sales or other types of fundraising
  • Promote the Friends Groups at local events
  • Have the opportunity to serve on the FOL Board
  • Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Be a self starter and work without close supervision

  • Interact and communicate successfully with others

  • Have a positive attitude and a willingness to advocate on behalf of the library

Training and support provided:

  • Orientation, training and mentoring
