Position Overview and Impact:
Do you love your Library and enjoy talking to people? An Outreach Representa- tive will learn about, plan and attend community events. These events play a vital role in spreading awareness of free Library services offered to the residents of Pasco County, with hopes of making a positive difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist staff with Outreach events such as street festivals, fairs and commu- nity events by manning booths/tables that positively represent the Library

Help staff set-up and tear down event tables after community events

Stay up to date on the variety of programs and services the Library has to offer to be able to correctly answer questions from the public
Qualifications:

Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time

Ability to lift boxes of flyers and promotional items, tables and/or portable tents to set up booths at community events

Must be dependable, arrive on time and dress accordingly

Have a friendly and outgoing personality
Training and support provided:
- Training, orientation and mentoring will be provided
Time Commitment:
-
Depending upon the event, 2 hours weekly for planning

Generally two (2) to four (4) hour shifts, but varies for each event
