Position Overview and Impact:

As a shelving volunteer, you will work with library staff to help with a variety of activities. These may include shelving books, general organizing of other library materials, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep the library and shelves clean and organized
• Assist library staff in organizing various library materials
• Assist patrons as needed
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

• Ability to work both independently and with library staff
• Ability to follow both written and oral directions
• Must be able to lift, bend, stoop and carry items
• Must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude

Training and support provided:

• Orientation, training and mentoring is provided

Time Commitment:

• Varies based on branch needs
