Position Overview and Impact:
Our teen volunteers help with a variety of tasks based on branch needs. This can include: the opportunity to participate in Teen Advisory Board and have a say in teen programs and services, keep our shelves clean and tidy, assist with craft preparation, and help with setup and breakdown for programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Teen Advisory Board meetings
- Opportunity to serve on the Teen Advisory Board as an officer
- Assist with program preparation
- Keep the library and shelves clean and organized
- Manage and track hours in the Vicnet volunteer system
- Other tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 13 years of age
- Ability to work independently and with library staff
- Ability to follow both written and oral directions
- Must be able to lift tables, bend, stoop and carry items
- Must be punctual, reliable, and have a positive attitude
Training and support provided:
- Orientation, training and mentoring
