Pasco County Libraries will be CLOSED at 12 PM on Tuesday, December 24 and all day on Wednesday, December 25 in Observance of Christmas. The library will reopen at its regular hours Thursday, December 26.
The Hudson Regional Library remains closed until further notice to assist with hurricane recovery efforts.

Wesley Chapel Library FAQ

A new Pasco County Library is under construction to serve the growing Wesley Chapel area. Below are some commonly asked questions:

Where will the library be located?
The Wesley Chapel Library will be next to the Seven Oaks Elementary School on Mystic Oak Blvd.

What’s the timeline for construction and opening?
A Groundbreaking Ceremony was held on April 12, 2024. Construction is under-way with completion slated for the second half of 2025. Post-construction, Library Services will ready the location with collection materials, programming supplies, and technologies prior to opening doors to the public. The library is forecast to open in Fall 2025.

How large will the library be?
The interior space will be approximately 13,000 square feet.

How much will it cost to build?
The County has budgeted $11 million for the total project. This includes design, construction, furniture, equipment, and collection materials.

What will the library feature?
In addition to books, audiobooks, and DVDs, the library will feature public computers, printers, a separate children’s area, collaborative spaces, a gallery wall in the lobby, an outdoor reading porch, a multi-purpose room for makerspace and other activities, a meeting room, and study rooms. Drive-up services will also be available at this location.

What will the hours be?
The operating hours are still being determined with careful consideration of the needs of the community. Similar to other locations, the Wesley Chapel Library schedule will likely include at least two evening days per week.
